Symptoms of Sinusitis
Symptoms of sinusitis varying from person to person are commonly known as headache or facial pain. However, the symptoms of sinusitis are not very apparent with pain. Pain in sinusitis is very low. Significant and common complaints in sinusitis are nasal congestion, distortion of the voice, fullness in the face, and runny nose. Chronic sinusitis may also present as a cough, yellow-green colored runny nose, colds (flu) lasting more than 10-14 days, nasal congestion and snoring, nasal discharge and sometimes burning in the throat.
Diagnosis and Treatment of Sinusitis
The symptoms of sinusitis are as above. Endoscopic examination and sinus tomography can be used to diagnose patients with such complaints. Improperly treated sinusitis can cause serious complications such as chronic pharyngitis, meningitis and brain abscess. If there is no result with drug treatment, surgery is considered.
